The first Banff Bridge 1765 to 1768
The Roy map of 1747 gives a sketch of both Banff and Down (although the latter is not named) and it does show the King’s Ford across the river. The first bridge was started in 1763 and opened in 1765.

Duff House Mausoleum
About a mile south of Duff House, in a very peaceful location looking over the river, is a Mausoleum built in 1792 by the 2nd Earl Fife.
