JIM McCOLL, MBE, is best known for his appearances on the BBC TV’s Beechgrove Garden. Co-presenting the programme for over 40 years, he has imparted knowledge, wisdom and a wealth of canny tips to keep our gardens flourishing all year round. Born in Kilmarnock, Jim studied horticulture at the West of Scotland Agricultural College and went on to lecture and provide advice on numerous projects and committees.Over the years, he has received a plethora of awards and honours including a MBE in 1996.
